Depending where and how old you are when growing up, you might have played with plastic toy soldiers when young.
The soldiers came with different poses and had a flat base under the feet to stay in the various positions.

LEGO released a small set called the Army Men on Patrol 7595. This set contained four soldiers, a jeep and various accessories like a medic stretcher and weapons.
