If you are looking for a small affordable set to purchase within the Star Wars LEGO theme, look no further than Luke’s Landspeeder 8092.
This is a great set as it comes with 6 minifigures. However, I consider it as only 5 minifigures due to the 6th one being a sentry droid which is not a proper standard LEGO minifigure. It is just a few pieces of bricks.
It’s got almost all the popular famous and sort after characters in one set. You get:
- Luke Skywalker
- Obi-Wan Kenobi
- R2-D2
- C-3PO
- Sandtrooper (Stormtrooper with a black pauldron or cape)
The main build is a Landspeeder that’s great for display or swooshing about. One of the three engines on the Landspeeder is slightly different to recreate the slight damage it sustained just like the movies.
This is however not the first Landspeeder set released by LEGO. Back in 1999, they release the Landspeeder 7110.
It is a great starter set and you should get it as it’s recently been discontinued. Get Luke’s Landspeeder 8092 before it totally disappears from stores.
If you can’t find it anymore, the alternative is the Droid Escape 9490.
