After releasing a few sets of buildings in the Lord Of The Rings theme, LEGO has introduced the Pirate Ship Ambush 79008.
This set comes with 9 minifigures, bricks to build the ship and an Orc catapult.
There are also many weapons and shields which would be useful parts for your own creations.
On a side note, this ship does not float as with most of other LEGO ships.

LEGO usually has at least one set of a ship in production. In recent years, they had the Imperial Flagship 10210 from the pirates theme.
This was followed with two ships from the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. There was the Black Pearl 4184 and Queen Anne’s Revenge 4195.
Now that the Pirates of the Caribbean ships have been discontinued, this Lord of the Rings Pirate Ship Ambush 79008 has been released to fill this space.
It is a great set for both fans of the movie and also ship lovers. The many minifigures especially Aragorn, Legolas Greenleaf and Gimli in one set will make this a popular set. If you are not a fan of the movie, sell the 9 minifigures away to reduce the cost of owning this pirate ship.
